Indonesia
1. Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta Indonesia

Dec 2024-now Research Assistantship at Universitas Gadjah Mada- Agriculture Department under prof. Muhsin Al Anas
- Data sampling Silage/fermentation of corn and sorghum affect on behavior and milk production for a research titled: "Evaluation of Using Sorghum and Corn Silage as Alternative Dairy Cattle Feed: Effects on Milk Production and Quality"
- Wrote a peer review report on an existing Study on Black Soldier Fly: "Opportunity bio-converting organic waste to poultry feedstuff using Black Soldier Fly (Hermetia illucens) in Indonesia"
- Assisting in writing: Veterinary Integrative Science submission titled:
“Banana (Musa sp.) leaf extract that reduces serum cholesterol and body weight in hypercholesterolemic mice (Mus musculus)”

2. Summer 2025 PT BISI International Tbk, Kediri Indonesia
Summer 2025 Research Lab Internship at a genetic engineering seed company
a) Laboratory assistant Internship on genetic marker assisted selection on corn, rice and cucumber leaves
b) Laboratory assistant internship on silica extraction from rice husk ash (farm waste)
I synthesised mesoporous nanosilica from rice husk ash, agricultural waste yielding ~20% silica by mass. Controlled combustion below crystallisation temperatures yields ash composed of 85-90% amorphous silica with high surface area and dense silanol groups instead of inert quartz with lower surface area.

3. Sriwijaya University, Palembang Indonesia

April 2025-now Researcher with self proposed research question and method, assisted by prof. Arfan Abrar from the Integrated Agriculture Department.
Title: Synergistic Effects of Euchuma Cottoni prevalent and underutilized in Indonesia on Enteric Methane Reduction and Cattle Thermoregulation in Warming Climates.
Livestock production is a critical pillar of food security globally, providing vital animal-sourced proteins and micronutrients for billions of people, yet drives severe degradation environmentally. The sector accounts for a major share of global human-induced greenhouse gas, originating from enteric fermentation in cattle rumens.
We tested a common species of seaweed in Southeast Asia with the scientific name Kappaphycus alvarezii (formerly and commercially named Eucheuma cottonii) on its influence methane production by eliminating or reducing protozoa. We did this investigation using a specialised in vitro simulation of a cow rumen developed by professor Arfan Abrar in 2015. Testing on ability to meet nutritional demands while reducing enteric methane production.

Summer 2026-now Research assistant for prof. Mohammad Khotib on his research in both lab experiments and writing reports
Imidazoline based corrosion inhibitor by a non edible oil (palm acid oil) from distillate residue.
Synthesized the imidazoline from PAO and diethylenetriamine (DETA) at 200 °C. Potentiodynamic polarisation indicated that the molecule's polar head adsorbs onto the metal surface while its hydrocarbon chain forms an impermeable hydrophobic barrier. In NaCl solution at 150ppm, my pre-acrylated sample reduced corrosion rate from 4.21 to 3.04 mm/year, while my acrylated sample reduced it from 4.61 to 3.20 mm/year.
At IPB, I analysed replicate Tafel extrapolation curves to determine carbon steel corrosion rates in an NaCl solution across inhibitor concentrations and synthesis durations. Unexpectedly, the shortest reaction (15 minutes at 200 °C) yielded the highest inhibition efficiency. I deduced heating to 30 minutes possibly caused thermal ring-opening back into linear precursors or induces steric hindrance via polymerisation, reducing the molecule's ability to chemisorb onto the steel surface.

5. 2025-2026 Extended Essay: Rice Husk Ash Mesoporous Silica as adsorption material for Cu2+ ions for water filtration

I synthesised mesoporous nanosilica from rice husk ash, agricultural waste yielding ~20% silica by mass. Controlled combustion below crystallisation temperatures yields ash composed of 85-90% amorphous silica with high surface area and dense silanol groups instead of inert quartz with lower surface area.
Thermal processing enables tailored surface modification: due to the hiugher surface area, native silanol group density increased, which allows the material to selectively adsorb more Cu2+ ions.
